Our FAFSA Three Step Process For Your Success
These three simple steps will get you started on the road to FAFSA success:
Step 1: Get Your FSA IDs
Get your IDs now. Only one parent should have a login and password for the FASFA but every student attending college should have one as well. Get your IDs by cutting and pasting: FSA ID: https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
Step 2: Get Your financial Data Ready
You should have your 2020 tax return handy and account values ready for all non-retirement accounts for both the parent and student. Remember - NO retirement accounts should be included in your net worth!!!!
Step 3: Login to FAFSA and Start the Process
Don't start the FAFSA before October 1st of your student's senior year and make sure you pick the right school enrollment year. Start the form by cutting and pasting this link: https://studentaid.gov/fafsa-app/ROLES
